PVUB

Hello, my name is Ken Himebaugh. I am the Pastor at Pleasant Valley. I just
wanted to take a moment to welcome you to our community. Just a little about
myself, I grew up and still reside in small rural community similar to that
of Pleasant Valley’s location. I have grown up learning what it means to
work hard, by working on neighbor’s farms as well as our own. I have also
spent 8 years of my life as an over the road truck driver. I married my high
school sweetheart Shellie and together we have been blessed with three
daughter’s ranging in age from 17-22.
Some of the things in life that I like are Harley’s and Jaguars, none of
which I can afford so I only admire them from a distance.
I enjoy hunting several different species of game whether it is with bow,
shotgun, handgun, rifle or muzzleloader. Deer and Turkey seasons seem to
always be an event that I look forward to. A day on the range is also a
welcomed event as I compete in IHMSA (International Handgun Metallic
Silhouette Association) events. And target practice for fun.
It has been said that I do not fit the typical mold of a pastor. I believe
this is a good thing as I like to think out side the box and do ministry
from a less conventional approach. In fact it is a rare occasion that I will
wear a tie or even a suit coat. I believe all people can come and worship
our Lord and savior with out worrying about a dress code. I believe with all
my heart that everyone matters regardless of where they have been or even
where they are at in life at this point. Jesus died not only for my sins but
also for yours. But the choice is ours to either, believe and accept him or
to deny and reject him.
If our community appeals to you, feel free to come check us out. Pleasant
Valley is the place where walk-in’s are always welcome.
And remember that no matter what life throws at you, keep on keeping on.
Many blessings on you.
Ken
